IANIC S.A. and Kos Municipal Water Supply & Sewerage Company jointly received the Gold Award in the category of Water / Wastewater for the project of digitalizing Kos water supply network and services.
Kos is the 1st island in Greece to fully digitalize its services, infrastructure and water networks through SmartVille, IANIC’s Unified Web Orchestration Platform that combines data from meters, sensors, telecommunications networks and analytics for holistic management and optimal decision-making and future planning.
Through SmartVille, Kos Municipal Water Supply & Sewerage Company manages 12.000 smart water meters in domestic, hotel and industrial units, monitors the water infrastructure on the island via telemetry and finally invoices and informs consumers electronically.
In the 1st stage of the project implementation, network leakages and non-revenue water were reduced by 30%, thus saving valuable water resources and reducing the pumping of drinking water.
